Magnetic twisty ties

I saw a science activity on Pintrest that I thought was a good idea for my preschoolers. They cut up pipe cleaners and put them in a water bottle and then rubbed a magic stick on the bottle and the pipe cleaners moved with the stick because of the metal inside.
Well I had a lot of twisty ties from bread bags that I had saved and wondered if they would do the same thing as well. So I tried it in my classroom and they were magnetic as well.
The children really enjoy these activities and learn about magnetism at the same time.
